Google Conquest or FirePow?

Well lately there’s been a bit of buzz starting to build about the upcoming release of Alex Goad’s new product called Google Conquest.  Honestly when I first heard about it I was amazed.  But do you really need it?

If you are just starting out in Affiliate Marketing or Internet Marketing, Google Conquest is going to be THE product for you!  There is no doubt that working with Alex’s team will get you going in the direction you need to go.  But, at the tentative $1000 sign fee plus ongoing $100 monthly – its really going to be too much for most smart business owners to spend. (okay I’m exaggerating a bit – sign up is $997 with the recurring $97/month).

But if you’re already up and running and making a little money with your business, a better solution (and cheaper) might be FirePow.  But what is FirePow?

Well FirePow is basically the meat behind what Google Conquest is.  As a matter of fact Google Conquest is FirePow.  Its simply being rebranded/resold with a bit better marketing to it. Now I really need to clarify something first. I don’t want to get Alex mad at me.  Google Conquest is more that just FirePow. Alex and company are throwing in some definite value add by including some great mentoring, plr content, and some email hand holding to get the brand new folks off the ground quick. And that alone is worth the couple bucks extra per month.  But the sign up fee is really hard to swallow if you ask me.

In my Opinion, for most people FirePow is all you’re going to need and it has a ton of stuff!  It has all of the great promotional power for each of your websites, it has the huge blog network for cross posting and creating those backlinks, lots of content for your blogs, free hosting and last but not least it has the terrific blog management you need for running a growing business.  And these are just the highlights of the system.  There’s way more to it.

For a terrific review of FirePow check out Mark Mason’s Blog at MasonWorld.com.  He even has a $300 ($25/mo) discount on a subscribtion to FirePow.

Getting it all linked up

I’ve been spending the past several days working on my new video tutorial series WordPress Plugins Exposed.  However, its not the video series itself that I’ve been focusing on, more what I’ve been working is the linking of and automation of Blip.tv and CastingWords to my websites.  I’ve even integrated a bit of Feedburner action to help with Podcasting the feeds.  Overall – I have to tell you its a beautiful thing! Check it out.

This whole process is really simple and allows me to provide video, audio and text blogs that are automatically posted to my website every day! The videos are also syndicated through Blip.tv generating lots of traffic back to my website.  And best of all – its really cheap – a pro account on Blip.tv is only $8/month!

Here’s how it works. (1) Upload your Video to Blip.tv. (2)Blip converts your video to multiple formats and automatically posts to your blog.  (3) FeedBurner picks up the rss feed for you and distributes it to Casting Words or other Blogs that you may own. (4) CastWords transcribes the audio from the rss feed and emails you the text for proof reading.  (5) You add the text to your blog post. Like I said, its a beautiful thing.

To get started, you would need to open an account on Blip.tv.  Its free but for only $8/mo., it allows you to get extra trans-codes to convert your video to mp3 and many other formats.  This is extremely helpful if you want to have your videos transcribed to text and have that text added to your post along with the video.

And this is where feedburner and CastingWords come into play. Feedburner manages the rss feeds and CastingWords picks up the feed and transcribes the mp3 audio automatically and emails it back to me to be proof read.

Many people use feedburner for their rss subscriptions.  But what feedburner also does is allows me to manage my podcasts and include links in my feeds.

For CastingWords to transcribe your mp3 audio, you will need to open an account and go to their subscribtions page.  Here you add a subscribtion.  Simply give your feedburner feed address to CastingWords and they will pick up your mp3’s from your feed.

With Feedburner I can also easily add rss feeds to my other blogs and link them together as well. Check out the bottom is this blog here where I’m publishing my feeds.

I still have a few kinks to work out of the process and get more familiar with Blip.tv but overall its just so awesome to have all of this occur without much effort.

Finishing it all Up – It’s Great

Well I don’t know about you but I have been very busy with the Holiday season now underway. Halloween has turned out to be great and I’m hard at work getting things together for Christmas. All of the SEO techniques from the StomperNet guys are fantastic and they work!! If you don’t have Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 – you should really get it. It’s great.

Another thing that’s been keeping me busy these days has been my ebooks. And I’m very happy to say that I’ve finished my first eBook – Website Monster Affiliate!! I’m pretty excited about it and I think you’ll like it. It’s not a guide for the marketing guru or someone who is currently in affiliate marketing. The book is designed for those who are just now considering getting into Affiliate Marketing and are wanting to know what it is all about. I don’t go into too much technical detail at all. I simply try to explain Affiliate Marketing, show that it is a great way to work from home, and provide some free tools for getting started.

If you have ever considered starting your own business, working from home, or simply want to quit your job, then you should check my new ebook and learn about affiliate marketing. Its 45 pages of great information, tips on some things to watch out for, free tools, and of course its 100% free! There’s never been a better time to become an affiliate marketer.

My next project that is soaking up my free time is a series of videos and accompanying ebook. I’m not sure how I’m going to release it just yet but so far things are looking really good!

Until next time – Keep working on your income streams and visualize your success!

Take care
Joe
